3 Day Weekend
Those who spend a little bit of time with me notice that I get cold really easily. So cold that my fingers turn purple, my feet turn white and my lips turn blue- this is because I have really bad circulation. Wednesday I took the day off to undergo some tests to figure out what exactly is wrong with me! 4 hours, 8 tubes of blood, 1 pee in a cup, 2 x-rays and 1 lung test later, I stepped out under the warm sun to continue my quest for the perfect white shirt. It's called the boyfriend fit, and Club Monaco carries it, but the fit isn't perfect for the $100 price tag. The one at H&M is only $12 but the material is too flimsy. I found a nice one for the right price at the Gap but they didn't have my size in stock, so the search continues...
I always look forward to Wednesdays because I get to watch my favorite show: Fantômes chez les stars. It's a show about celebrities recounting paranormal experiences that they've had ... I know how it sounds and what you're thinking (kooky!), but don't judge before watching... and you should! It's AMAZING.
I woke up at 6:00 and had the most productive morning ever! Before 10:00 I managed to:
- make crepes and coffee for breakfast,
- bake a lemon meringue pie,
- do ALL the dishes,
- do a load of laundry and hang it up outside to dry,
- and get ready for the gym.
After a super awesome strength workout on the bike, the rest of the day was spent watching too much tv and listening to music in front of my computer.
days- escape the day

After Friday's "sweat fest" at the gym, I rushed to the spa for some much needed beautification. I have a wonderful esthetician but she's on vacation until mid May, so I had an appointment with a new wonderful lady. When it came time to pay though, I was a little flustered by the sudden price increase and forgot to tip! :(
That evening, Sybil arrived from a long train ride from NYC (11hrs!!) and we went for a long walk, returning just in time to watch the Canadiens win 2-1 against the Capitals. In your face Ovechkin.
With the fate of the Habs, my health, and the quest for the perfect white shirt still up in the air, the only certainty I have this evening is that I have 4 more days left to work before next weekend!!

Ecosia
My friend C e-mailed me a link to a search engine that she uses: www.ecosia.org. It's just like any other search engine but profits from the advertising revenue are given to a rainforest protection program run by the WWF. You can save two square meters of rainforest with every search you do! PLUS Ecosia servers don't cause any CO2 emissions!!

Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road?
The Bible: And God came down from the heavens, and He said unto the chicken, "Thou shalt cross the road." And the chicken crossed the road, and there was much rejoicing.
Colonel Sanders: "I missed one?"
L.A. Police Department: Give us five minutes with the chicken and we'll find out.
Bill Clinton: The chicken did not cross the road. I repeat, the chicken did not cross the road. I don't know any chickens. I have never known any chickens.
Dr. Seuss: Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes!, the chicken crossed the road. But why it crossed, I've not been told!
Ernest Hemingway: To die. In the rain.
Grandpa: In my day, we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Someone told us that the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough for us.
Bill Clinton (again): I did not cross the road with THAT chicken.
Captain James T. Kirk: To boldly go where no chicken has gone before.
Fox Mulder: You saw it cross with your own eyes. How many more chickens have to cross before you believe it?
Machiavelli: The point is that the chicken crossed the road. Who cares why? The end of crossing the road justifies whatever motive there was.
Freud: The fact that you are at all concerned that the chicken crossed the road reveals your underlying sexual insecurity.
Einstein: Did the chicken really cross the road or did the road move beneath the chicken?
Bill Clinton (also, again): Define "cross."

New Shift Bid
Every two months, my work schedule changes. Sometimes it's for the best, sometimes it can be a really disheartning feeling being stuck for two long months with a crapy schedule. For some unknown reason, the next new schedule is set for three months: April, May & June. Originally I got 8:30am to 4:30pm, my days off falling on Mondays and Tuesdays. I was sad thinking about missing my favorite noon spin classes that fall on Thursdays and Fridays... I love Jean-Luc, Benoit, the endorphines, loud music, and the familiarity of the group. There's something extra that I love about spinning: in class I feel strong, confident that I can do anything. I don't care if I leave my house an hour and a half before the class starts and only get home late in the afternoon, it's worth it for me. So when a collegue, who happened to have Thursdays & Fridays off wanted to switch schedules with mine, I was happy to oblige ... the catch? I have to start work at 7:00am... He was nice enough to do only a partial switch with me, so I still get to start at 8:30am on the conventional weekend (Saturday & Sunday). Here are some of Jean Luc's spinning tunes, now if there was only a way of figuring out the rest...
