30 Day Challenge: Day 4

Your views on religion.

When it comes to religion, I say to each his/her own. Personally, I don't believe in a singular God or Heaven or Hell; I do however have a strong sense that those I love are being looked after somehow. I have an even stronger feeling that everything is going to be okay and I'm confident that I will always have the strength to get me through those more difficult times when things are not okay. Maybe I feel this way because I believe that there's a greater force at play. If this is true is impossible to say for sure.

According to David Suzuki, every breath of air we inhale contains particles exhaled by every single person who has ever existed.

According to David Bowie, scientists, and anyone who's ever taken LSD, we are all made of stardust.

I believe the soul is an electrochemical force which binds our 100 trillion cells together in harmony. I don't know where it comes from, and I don't know where it goes after we die, but if Newton was right, and no energy is ever created or lost, then I believe when we die, that binding force dissolves, and we return to our pre-human forms: a mishmash of all the energy in the universe that ever was, and ever will be. I believe we gain the perspective and knowledge of being the whole universe. I believe it's a blissful and infinitely wise state of being.
