Yesterday I finished reading one of the most powerful, heart-wrenching, inspiring books I have ever read. After reading Russel Brand's My Booky Wook, I was looking for something a little bit more... deep. Having exhausted my collection, I asked my dad for help. Being a war buff, he lent me The 23th Psalm: A Holocaust Memoir by George Lucius Salton. Though it was difficult to read and I cried three times and felt sick more than once, I'm really happy my papa lent it to me. Despite the horrors found throughout the pages, Lucek's (he Americanized his name when he emigrated to the US) story is one of true resilience and hope that I urge everyone to read. Here's a little summary: link.
