No Excuse!
There's Eco-Logic where you can dump all your junk and rummage to find some cheap antique gems too! There's also Computation Recyclage or Central Recycling that both specialize in safely recycling electronics. So Montreal, now you have no excuse!

The Shame
Of my many problems, none is more apparent then my love for shoes! As is stands, I have a total of (please don't judge me) 52 pairs. Here's the breakdown:
Some I love, some I want to give away, some I will never wear again:
Street Shoes: 9 pairs
Boots: 6 pairs
Running Shoes: 3 pairs
Flats: 5 pairs
Flat Dress Shoes: 2 pairs
Peep Toe: 2 pairs
Sandals: 2 pairs
Kitten Heels: 6 pairs
High Heels: 11 pairs
Hiking Shoes: 1 pair
Flip Flops: 4 pairs
Biking (clip shoes): 1 pair
Some I love, some I want to give away, some I will never wear again:
It's decided, I'm not allowed buying anymore shoes ever again...

I Cry
Those who know me well, know I cry a lot. I cried when I was unemployed and now I cry when I don't want to go to work. I cry when I miss the bus, when I'm sick, if I can't go to my gym class, when I get a bad haircut. I cry when a movie is sad, or when someone I love is sad. I cried when mom went to Africa, and when Sybil went to Guatemala. I cried the day bunny died and everyday when papa was in the hospital. Sometimes I'll tear up at the sight of a stranger eating at a fast food restaurant because I imagine the sadness of eating alone for a lifetime. Last night I finished Just Kids, Patti Smith's story of her and her long time friend Robert Mapplethorpe. In the '80s he was diagnosed with AIDS and when he said: "Patti I'm dying. It's so painful", I couldn't help but cry.

The Language Of Peace*
white rabbit & somebody to love
I'm currently reading Patti Smith's Just Kids (merci Claude!) and thinking how fun it must have been growing up in the 60s! I'm actually envious of her life. Being too shy to go inside, she was sitting on the steps of a music studio on the night of a party celebrating its opening. There, Jimi Hendrix told her he was shy too and didn't like parties. Patti wrote a poem for Janis Joplin and sang it to her on a night when Janis felt lonely. I want to relate to Jimi and sing to Janis and listen to Jefferson Airplane with everybody else for the first time too! I'm going to re-read this book as soon as I finish it and look up all the artistic references.
*Jimi's definition of music.
