Happy 60th Mom! 03/28/09

Saturday was my mom's 60th birthday. My entire family was there, including my brother-in-law Paul and my boyfriend *Benjamin. It was a really happy, warm and memorable time. I really truly hope all of my mom's birthday wishes come true and that we all get together again sometime soon! ...





*This was Benjamin's first time meeting The Hebert's and first time experiencing my driving...

I'm super shy. I always thought I'd grow out of my shyness; as my mom used to tell me: “come out of my shell”. The thing is, I don't consider being shy a bad thing, or something I need to change- it's just who I am. People often assume I'm a snob, but really, I'm just private.

25 Random Things...

I find comfort in stability. I consider myself fortunate to have lived in the same house and slept in the same room my entire life. I wrote a previous blog entry about my goals for the upcoming spring, one of which was to move out. As much as I value my alone time and privacy, it's the expectation that someone will eventually be coming home that negates any feeling of loneliness... This is why, even though the adventure of moving is definitely exciting, it's an adventure I would rather share.

I've had 3 serious concussions in my lifetime, the worst being the most recent (I fell off my bike). I secretly worry if/how they have affected me.

I'm a friendly person but I have a really hard time keeping in touch with my friends- friends I met at school, those from previous jobs, my friends at the Y, and all the people in between that I've had a connection with. I often wonder about them, hope they're happy and healthy. I also wonder if I'm in their thoughts at all. I should really just

I was a sickly little girl. I often suffered from otitis, gastro, and I was even hospitalized once for pneumonia. I'm allergic to Penicillin so doctors would make me take this awful banana flavoured antibiotic. Today, I associate bananas with being sick- hence my deep hatred for anything banana flavoured.

I was born on the 17th day of the 2nd month at 2:17 in the afternoon (it's true, I checked my medical records). When I turned 17, I decided to officially call myself vegetarian. I haven't eaten meat since.
