Lonely
My cousin Daniel is getting married and decided to have his wedding in Croatia. So my parents are leaving today for the wedding/traveling and will only be back in 3 weeks. You would think I would be happy to have the house all to myself… but really, I already miss them! It kinda scares me just how much I love them and how lonely I feel when they aren’t around...

They amaze me
Parrots are super intelligent and affectionate birds. They have shown to be able to associate words with their meanings, identify count and describe objects, form sentences, solve puzzles, and use tools. Parrots make excellent companion animals too because they form close affectionate bonds with their owners; however, they are not low maintenance!
Parrots require adequate room temperature, training, exercise, and social interaction (with other parrots or humans) for good health. Also, large parrot species have very long life expectancies of over 80 years! Before considering a pet parrot, be warned: they mature into complex demanding adults that need constant stimulation and affection.
It is also important to consider your parrot’s history. Make sure to never buy a parrot that was kidnapped from the wild. The trapping of wild parrots for the pet trade has diminished wild populations, and more parrots are threatened with extinction than any other group of birds. The best would be to adopt a bird from a parrot adoption center or from a family that can no longer meet the demands of their beautiful bird.

Word of the week
Aibohphobia: The irrational fear of palindromes (words that read the same forwards and backwards)
Dude 1: Hey, what's your name?
Dude 2: Bob.
Dude 1: AAAAAAAAAAH! *Runs and hides behind sofa*
Bob: Wow.
Dude 1: AAAAAAAAAAH! *Runs away and falls down stairs*

The Heart
It tends to ache and sometimes attacks,
It can break and maybe even require a transplant!
When nervous it beats fast in your chest,
But it always slows down when you rest.
In addition to pumping blood through your body,
It symbolizes all that is lovely.
Though it is only the size of your fist,
It can be filled with an endless supply of love and kindness.

4th 5th 4th 5th ….
I feel pretty happy right now. These past 2 days have been really great: amazingly nice weather (perfect cloud to sun ratio, super warm but not uncomfortable because of a cool breeze) and lots of time spent with some REALLY amazing people. I would like to wake up tomorrow and it magically be Wednesday the 4th again, followed by Thursday and then back to Wednesday and so on… like in Groundhog Day but with 2 days on repeat instead of only one. Can someone somewhere out there pull some strings with the Day Making People for me… please?!
