Lonely Bird

I’ve been on the verge of tears all week
Maybe it’s because I’m excessively tired
Maybe it’s because the new Portishead album didn’t meet my expectations
It’s probably because I’m terribly scared and nervous

...of this week

Word of the week
slacktivism: The act of participating in obviously pointless activities as an expedient alternative to actually expending effort to fix a problem. Signing an email petition to stop rampant crime is slacktivism. To achieve a safer community, the better solution would be to start a neighborhood watch.

we really are Lucky

I have been a devoted Radiohead fan for 13 years (I may have even taken a trip to Oxford to visit the hometown of those 5 English boys…). After all these years, Thom Yorke still manages to make my heart melt:

Yucky!

In my world, the word “banana” is synonymous with the word “barforama”. Apparently some people got inspired by the fruit…

I do have one exception to the Banana-Free Rule: banana flavored popsicles
(so yummy!)

Word of the week
googleganger: Similar to that of a doppleganger, it is another individual with the same name as you whose records and/or stories are mixed in with your own when you Google yourself. "Hey, I just googled my name and found that I have three googlegangers!"

Sweat fest in Studio 3

Today was hands-down one of the best lunch hour bike workouts ever! Shout out to Ben for setting the tone and pushing us to our limit every time. I’m starting a new job on Monday and won’t be able to work out at noon for 6-8 weeks. I’m going to miss you guys: Cliff, Silvio (aka Stefano), Victor, Tim, Yvon, Patricia, Sophie, Helen, Jean-Luc, Ben, and all those familiar lunch-time faces. Keep my bike (#19) safe for me because I’ll be back…

I spent the day with a hammer, screw driver, level, step ladder, and those wonderful IKEA instructions.

I say that crack adds to the "country chic" look…
